What is a battle buddy?

Traditionally, a Battle Buddy is a designated partner in the military who provides mutual support, accountability, and safety—whether in training, combat, or daily life. The concept promotes trust, camaraderie, and vigilance, ensuring no one is left to face challenges alone.

At Battle Buddy Outdoors (BBO), we are extending this powerful concept beyond military service—bringing it into civilian life to support our wounded and disabled veterans. Our mission is to create opportunities for these heroes to reconnect with the outdoors and rediscover purpose, connection, and healing through nature-based activities.

Whether it’s hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping, BBO provides veterans with everything they need to enjoy the outdoors—at absolutely no cost. This includes access to public and private locations, and all the necessary gear:

Tents and packs for camping

Rods and tackle for fishing

Full hunting gear and support

Beyond the gear and activities, BBO fosters a strong sense of community—connecting veterans with others who understand their journey and can offer guidance, friendship, and a shared path forward.
